Should unfit parents be stopped from having more children?

Who has the right to decide who is unfit? The government is not 'all powerful' it is not the answer to all of life's problems. The constitution does not grant our gov't the power to do these types of things.

What you're talking about might happen in communist China or Russia ( not even there, I think). This is like extreme, tyrannical Authoritarian stuff you're talking about. Were you born in the U.S.A? You sound like you might be from somewhere else.

In my criminal law class, I learned that, around 1910, a law was passed (U.S.) that if you are convicted with a felony, you cannot marry someone whom is also convicted of a felony.

This came from the idea that "bad parents give birth to bad kids."

But the problem is, this is still mostly genetic. Bad people can give birth to good people and good people can give birth to bad people.

But yes, it's good to punish the parents when juveniles do crime.

Anyways, that old law was abolished, and I don't know specifically why, except it might be obvious.

Yes they should, I feel so sorry for those who really want children and cannot conceive especially when these would not abuse their children if they had any.

I wish! All bad and stupid people should be locked up, not together though so they couldn't breed.
