Physics Question Help?

A lorry of mass 1.2x10^3 kg m^-3 parked on a platform used to weight vehicles. The lorry compresses the spring that supports the platform by 0.030m.

Calculate the energy stored in the spring.

Could someone tell me how to figure that out please (give me the formula and how to use) please. Lil bit lost with that one.

First problem is that the units are wrong. The lorry may have a mass of 1200 kilograms, but it certainly does not have a mass of 1200 kilograms per cubic meter -- that's a density, not a mass. With that settled, we can note that the gravitational force is 12,000 newtons, which when multiplied by 0.030 gives an energy of 360 newton-meters.
