Only in the sense that you need to finish the series (that's how it was with me. I felt compelled to finish the series). Other than that, no. It's not worth it. I personally think that the book was awful. It is actually the first and only book i have ever hated. It destroyed the series and ruined the image of vampires that Meyer created. I say you get the synopsis of it on wiki and save yourself the twenty bucks.

If you have read the 1st three and enjoyed them, I say go for it. I know a lot of people don't like the fourth one, but that is just their own personal opinion.

I personally really like Breaking Dawn. Its not my favourite I'll tell you that but it doesnt mean I hate it with a burning passion.

My friend on the other hand thinks its the best one of the series. We all have different views.

You have to try it, before you doubt it, like everything. Just a few points before you start reading (but I wont give too much away). Its split into three sections - 2 Bella, 1 Jacob.

If you who dont like this sort of thing (its not really my cup of tea either really) then perhaps don't bother with breaking dawn.

Its also more sexual you could say than the first 3 (though dont worry not too explicit, just enough for teens). This may also be a put off. Another fact is that it is quite long (although I didnt notice this myself when I was reading it) and if you dont like long books then I say stay away.

However, I generally enjoyed the book, parts of it I dont like but all books have their faults but parts of it I love. You just have to try the book for yourself otherwise you'll never know.

  • I felt breaking dawn was the best of the series(which I am thoroughly addicted to), because of the happy ever after, the hopeless romantic within me couldn't resist, and it truly is beautiful...

I've heard mixed reviews...but if you've already suffered through the first three-like i have-then you definitely should round things out with the fourth book.

I also came across a pretty cute article about vampires and how they probably wouldnt be able to get it on:

although it is in a strange format- it has both jacobs point of veiw and bellas

but other than that, its worth reading!!

btw- only if you've read the other books as well

I forced myself to read it in order to give myself closure the old fashioned way.

I hate everything about Twilight, but my curiousity got the better of me. Once I started reading it, I couldn't stop.

It is a terrible book, but I think you should read it for the reasons I've just given.

I think so! If you have read the rest of the series, I would say it's the best - it's my favourite.. It's the most grown up and serious of them all.

no, honestly, don't read it... i've read all the twilight books, but that one is just a load of crap

there are many other books more worth your time

if youve read the first three than you might as well read the last one. some very intense moments are in it. its better than eclipse and whatever the second one is called.

Most people either love it or hate it. Barrow it from the library to see if you like it before you buy it though.
