How would earth be different if we had no moon or tides?

Let's just pretend it turned out that we never had the moon, how would things be different now?

Update:

Eh, I think I kind of put this in the wrong section, sorry.

We probably would not have ocean tides and there would be a lot less poetry about love and the moon. If we never had one, then life would just continue as it had from the beginning.

we would all die, due to the fact that our earth needs the moon to keep us spinning nice and steady.

if the moon vanished we would wobble wildly through space. the north and south poles would end up near the equator and melt flooding all low areas, then it would wobble back to how it is now, and keep repeating the cycle, it would be quite impossibe to survive the chaotic weather....

this will happen one day as the moon gets further away from us about an inch every year, (as fast as your thumb nail grows) but humans will be extinct by the time it has any effect so dont worry

No wind, much different weather patterns.
