All the more reasons for more parties (4 more), term limits(1), political pensions equal to time served, no lobbyists, no perks, no electoral college, no pork, line item veto, one public fund for all candidates, equal time/money for all candidates(TV, radio, billboards, Internet)(violators will be disqualified), no private donations, not campaign reform, but total campaign reinvention.
Prevent money from buying the office and then nesting.
It's fairly obvious that good ideas are going to waste because they don't play the party line(s). With just two parties it's relatively easy for the mega-money to buy both, and let you believe/assume/hope you have a choice when you don't.
