Not likely.
Different corporate culture.
Apple is about hardware and applications. Google is about the network being the application.
Such a combination of companies would surely destroy shareholder value.

That would make no sense, different lines of product.
I was at Mobil Oil when they bought out Montgomery Ward for a while. No one understood that.
When Mercedes bought out Chrysler, that made more sense but it never worked out, so they sold it.
