XP won't boot in normal mode?

Hey there, my computer at the office is using XP Pro, and since last Thur. I can't get it to load in normal mode. You know the box at start up where you hit Control, Alt and Delete to enter a username and password? Well, for some reason when I hit control alt delete nothing happens, it's like my keyboard is unplugged. But, when I load in safe mode, everything works. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Did you add any new hardware or changed any IO port settings? Possibly, there may be some IO conflicts (in plain language, two hardware, i.e. your keyboard and some other hardware, might be using same IO port address), and that might disable your keaboard. When you load in safe mode, that second hardware profile is not loaded, and therefore no conflicts in safe mode and your keyboard works fine in safe mode.

If you have added any new hardware, remove the new hardware and then restart windows in normal mode. That might solve your problem. If that does not solve your problem, call the tech support person for further investigation.
