2 year old daughter, Bactrim Allergy?
My daughter is 2 years old, and when she was 1 she went in for her well child check up, and was given her vaccinations including the Chicken Pox vaccine. While there they also discovered she had a UTI, and was put on Bactrim. A few days after starting it she developed a few pimple like bumps on her back, we called the dr and over the phone he said she was allergic to Bactrim, thus eliminating her use of any Sulfa drugs. We would like to find out if she really is, or if this was caused by the Chicken Pox vaccine, which we've heard can cause bumps as well. How shold we go about doing this?
1 AnswerAllergies9 years agoMom colonized with M.R.S.A., safe to bring daughter around?
My mom has recently spent a good deal of time in the hospital for lung issues. She was in a nursing/rehab center and caught pneumonia and was admitted to the ICU at our local hospital, she was placed on isolation due to MRSA colonization, she was then transfered to another facility for ventilator weaning and they tested her and she came up negative and taken off isolation, she was then moved yet again and found to be negative at her rehab facility. She went home and ended up with pneumonia and went back to the first hospital (our local hospital) and they put her back on isolation because they said she was positive and that they would be concerned about the other places testing procedures if they said she was negative. Sorry I'm rambling, either way she is back at home now, and we are concerned because I have a 2 year old daughter, is it safe to bring her around my mom?
2 AnswersInfectious Diseases9 years agoIs it true that when you buy a home you get taxed less on your paycheck?
My realtor told me that when you buy a home, you change your deductions on your W-4 to get taxed less, is this true? And if so, how many deductions do/can you take? How does that all work? Thank you!
5 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoCan we get in trouble if we don't include my wife's w2 in our tax return?
My wife didn't work much last year as she has been a stay at home mom to our 8 month old daughter. She received her W2 from the company she worked for and she made a little over $1200, yet they only took out $15 in Fed Taxes. My W2 was about $31000 earned with over $2700 in Fed Taxes. I've used a tax estimator to find out what our refund would be and adding her W2 to mine would knock over $400 off of our refund. Will/Could we get into trouble if I just "accidentally" forget to add her's? Thanks!

Hey there, my computer at the office is using XP Pro, and since last Thur. I can't get it to load in normal mode. You know the box at start up where you hit Control, Alt and Delete to enter a username and password? Well, for some reason when I hit control alt delete nothing happens, it's like my keyboard is unplugged. But, when I load in safe mode, everything works. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Every so often in my right ear I will get this crackling sound. It happens if someone around me talks or I talk myself, after the end of each sentence my right ear crackles. Any thoughts? I have had hearing tests and the doctor said my hearing is probably as good now as it was the day I was born. I am 25 if that helps.

9 AnswersOptical1 decade agoDegenerative Myopia??
I'm 25, and was born with congenital glaucoma and nystagmus so I've always worn glasses. About a year ago my vision changed again from a -3 in both eyes to a -5 in the left and -4.50 in the right, and it seems to be getting worse. I've been to 2 Opth. who can find no reason for it, and neither have made any remarks about problems with my retina etc. although I do see floaters and such. Do I have degenerative myopia? I mean, normally eyes stabilize before your 25 right? Thanks
2 AnswersOptical1 decade agoDoes IOP fluctuate throughout the day?
In glaucoma, lets say the pressure gets high, will it stay high, or will it fluctuate through the day. I have congenital glaucoma and my eyes have been feeling like the pressure is high, but whenever I get them tested, it's always within normal range.
1 AnswerOptical1 decade agoNystagmus and Contacts?
I was born with both congenital glaucoma and nystagmus, and I have always had to wear glasses. Would I be able to wear contacts? I've never really asked, but my mom always used to tell me no because the shaking eyes of the nystagmus would cause the lens to slip around to the back of my eye. Thanks
