How much should a cattle lease .......?

How much should a cattle lease on 30 acres be? I am selling all my cattle but still would like to retain my Ag Exemption, I will be providing the water and if the leaser would like I can set out the round bale of hay with my tractor ( being that he provides the round bale of hay) but if I was to offer such services with the 30 acre lease how much should I ask for a year? I live in Central Texas. Thank you in advance for any advice.

It is real hard to say, there are so many variables in how much a cattle lease is. What type grass do you have, where they get their water, and many many more. I pay 10 dollars per acre in a town just west of houston texas, we actualy have a 30 acre lease and it is only 300 a year. If you plan on making a lot then this isn't the way, but it will help you keep your ag exemption. Email me and let me know excactly where you are and I would consider leasing it! I am in san antonio looking for somewhere near here but nothing yet!

I live in North Central Mssouri and was wondering if it would better for me to lease a few head of beef cattle or to buy a few head and go from there. I realy don't have the funds to go out and buy the cattle so i would have to borrow the money.
