Philadelphia Eagles fans... a question was posted?
on first take and it was "Who is the most important player the Eagles have?"
Now, Lil' Wayne was on he show and he said DeSean Jackson, but why is it tat so many people refuse to give Westbrook his due?
Westie, and what about Asante Samuel, even Chris Clemons... you have to give him some props on that body slam he gave Jackson on Sunday.
Who would YOU say is the key player on the Eagles roster?

Jackson may be a dominant receiver but he is not mentioned because the other WR's overshadow his accomplishments. But I do believe Westbrook adds a dimension to the game that is missed when he isn't in there. Even though Westbrook didn't have a 100 yard day against the Vikings, he still adds versatility to that offense. Without Westbrook I doubt the Eagles would be in the playoffs. There were many games that he has helped his team win this season. Also even though Westbrook had an off day rushing wise against the Vikings, he caught a 70+ yard pass to score a TD with the game close in the closing minutes. He is also a great receiver. Not many RB's can run and receive. He is multi-talented. Also DeSean Jackson has yet to prove he can stay consistent. He is a great WR, but give him more time. Experience over hype wins every time.

Westbrook is the key for the team. A close second would be McNabb. Look how the game played out on Sunday. Westbrook was kept in check for most of the game and the game was close for those periods that he was limited. When he took that screen pass to the house, he broke the game open and there was no looking back from there. Without him the Eagles would not be the same team.

Westbrook is. The rest of the offense benefits due to the fact that the other teams defense are so focused on Westbrook. He is double teamed, spied on etc. That opens up a lot of other options for Philadelphia. Westbrook is vital to the Eagles offense.

I;d have to say Westbrook. They guy has been the workhorse of the team. And while Asante Samuel and Chris Clemons are incredible players, they didn't cary the team while McNab was on the bench.

I think that Brian Westbrook is a good player on the Eagles team, but, I really think that Donovan McNabb is their key player. He has really stepped up this season since being benched in week 13. In their last four games since Donovan was benched, he threw 13 TD passes and only one interception to lead the Eagles to another playoff berth. He is a great weapon in this Eagles offense when he is healthy and a very underrated QB in the NFL.

DeSean Jackson is a vital receiver for the team, but I see where you're coming from. Westbrook is probably more important. Anyways, you still have Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis, but there is only one Westbrook.

BRIAN WESTBROOK is the most important and vital player that the Eagles have on their team and has been for some time! No doubt about that!

i think brian dawkins is the key player on the team. he plays outstanding games every football and is one of the best leaders i have ever seen on a football field. westbrook is also a key player because of what he brings to the eagles offense with his explosive plays.

okay there. Westbrook look at their record when he is out and when he plays not to mention the fact that he is 50% of their offense maybe even more.

I think if you look at where the Eagles would be without McNabb or without Westbrook it looks worse without McNabb. Thus, McNabb is the most important player.
