yes that is a good download speed. the problem is the server that you are downloading from may not be as fast, so dont get mad when you dont download at the speed. it is the servers upload speed that is slower that you download speed.

Kam is right. What ever your download speed is, you will never or hardly ever reach that speed when you download for a website.
I have an internet speed of 9MB/s. That gives me a download speed of
9637kb/s and an upload speed of 817kb/s
I never reach full speeds, but a speed between 600 and 1100kbps is not unusual. However, when I download from download.com, I never ever get a speed faster than 350kbps
I do not know what your internet speed is. That you should know, because you pay your internet provider money for your internet.
Have you done a speed test at
It is the best speed test there is
I think that your upload speed can't be right.
Most of the time, it is always lower than the download speed
Look at my speeds. My upload is 10 times slower than my download speed.

that is great! what kind of internet do you have?
and download speed also depends on where you are downloading from. I have cable, and my direct download (download from a website or link) speed is usually around 500kbps and sometimes can max out to around 1200 kb/s. i assume you are using a torrent, and most people do not even reach 300 kb/s on them (uploading or downloading). also, with torrents, it depends on how many seeders there are, the more, the faster you will download

ATT says my download speed is 3 mbps and my upload speed is less than 1.5 mbps. Is that really bad in 2016?

Yer thats ace, lowest broadband speed is what you have, but my intenret provider say i get 2mb/s (2048kb/s) and i get about 200kb/s. The best broadband speed at the moment is with virgin media at 50mb/s, 50,000kb/s! Im from england by the way, so this applies to england

That's a great upload speed, but for downloading, if you're using a broadband cable conneciton, 5mb/s (5,000kb/s) is average and 7mb/s (7,000kb/s) is great.

Way better than Dialup and T-1, however Verizon FIOS says it can go faster than that even.
