In my case I had a case of preeclampsia developing and my doctor never checked me for it. The night I went to the hospital I was eight and a half months. I was having contractions. They put the Monitor on me and the baby heart-rate was low when they came with the ultrasound machine his heart beat twice and that was it he died.

If you ever have protein in your urine and your blood pressure is over 140/90 the er is where you wanna be. Protein in urine is a sign something is wrong.

I'm assuming the baby passes away sometime in between appointments, or during labor? I'm not sure but this is an interesting question, since the last month you have weekly check up. I would assume the doctor would know if the baby was still alive or not during the check ups.

I had a stillborn at 37 weeks my baby had no amniotic fluid when she died, I had a inexperienced doctor who was starting her residency in our town and I was her first patient.

I was measuring small but to her it seemed no big deal until the day I went in and found no heart beat. Some cases it just happens no matter what kind of care you received during you're ob visits. Unfortunately it is just something that can just happen, but for me it could have been prevented.

I need to add that it happend in between appts.

Good question and you do have a point there.I think it happens during birth. If you're pregnant I dont think you should be thinking about stuff like that.If you've been going to your prenatal visits and monitoring the baby's movements, theres no reason why you should fear this.

the baby normally dies when the woman is just about to give birth. sometimes the die earlier and the woman is made to deliver the baby anyway.

    How does anyone die?

Sometimes a heart just stops. Sometimes the baby comes into contact with a virus. Sometimes there's no explanation.

all cases are different sometimes they are dead weeks before you even know and deliver. One kink in the cord ..and the baby can die

Source(s): usually no one knows how they died ..autopsies on stillborns are usually ineffective

Could this just be anexcuse that the doctor accidentally killed the baby? Or perhaps squeezed it too hard or seomting?

if the baby was a still born it will not have a heart beat
