CS 3 on a Mac - cannot open Indesign file from PC?
I cannot open an Indesign file from a PC on my Mac. I tried downloading all the updates but it is still now working. The mac identifies the file as and indesign and displays it a s such but it cannot be opened. Which update do I need to open it? which plug-in?

I would say that the file is corrupted as InDesign on a Mac will open a PC InDesign file being that they are made using the same application. Does it say why it can't open the file?
You may find that it could be a font issue. Have you got images in the file?
Was it saved as a .indd file or .ind file?
Were the fonts embeded in the file?

It is unlikely that you'll be able to open a Mac InDesign CS2 file in your PC InDesign CS1. But documents that were made the CS version of InDesign should open in CS2.
