I need help please!!!?

I went to Sally's and bought the L'oreal HiColor for dark hair only and the color I chose was Cool Light Brown it also says multi-level lift-no brassiness in one single step......anyway the lady insisted I buy Oreor 20 Developer because she said that's what professionals use. I got home and searched the internet, it says to use 30 developer for really dark hair.

I have really light skin and the dark hair makes me look pale.

If I use the 20 developer will it lighten as good as the 30 developer?

    i would go to the hairdressers because they can tell you what the best thing todo is
