The thing is - one of the hormones after ovulation is prostergene (sp?). It increases and is responsible for the symptoms you describe. If you are pregnant prostergene production remains high and increases - and therefore those symptoms increase/get worse or else your AF comes and the Prostergene quickly decreases and the symptoms go.

Basically your body is in a heightened readyness FOR pregnancy but it doesn' t yet confirm that you are and that is why you generally have to wait until a missed period to test.

I've just had the most sore boobs ever this week and awaiting my AF too so I understand!!! I've had flutters and odd feelings in my tummy too. looked it up and it said what I just said above and that you store water ready, hence bloatedness and sore boobs.

Of course I hope AF doesn't show for both of us!

  • Not everyone can experience this. Everyones different. And sometimes you can have all these symptoms && still no be preggo. ((trust me I know lol)) Ive gotten my hopes up plenty of times. Just this past month I had alot of symptoms.. && still not pregnant. Good luck to you
