Which is better external modem or Internal?
Im told that external modems can be better because it doesn't require
your prossesor and other computer hadware he says he started with 28.8 kb/s and it took him up to 48-52 kb/s, but... does it realy work

Depends on your need. External modems don't care what the operating system is and process the data themselves while internal (winmodems) are mainly made to use with Windows and usually offload the procesing to the PCs own processor. Regarding the speed there are a lot of variables involved, quality of the line, the signal, the data being sent, compression, etc.
