Best Indie Movie of all time?

A 4-way tie between Stranger Than Paradise, Down by Law, Welcome to the Dollhouse, and Reservoir Dogs. Maybe that can be narrowed down to Down by Law and Welcome to the Dollhouse. Really, all are smart, original films, directed by smart, original directors. (The first two I listed, share a director.) I've seen Thumbsucker and Lars and the Real Girl. Lars, I rather enjoyed, but I found Thumbsucker to be incredibly depressing, not that it's a bad movie.

For me it is "Imburnal" an indie film in the Philippines and it was shoot in Davao city. It talks about the life of the people living near the "Imburnal", how they leave in everyday life and tackle on how they face poverty despite of everything. Also it talks about the youth; on how they face reality and problems. Why they are getting into a wrong crowd and drug addiction, why is there family not supporting there needs and other family issues. See it yourself and you will be amaze how an individual can create that movie even without an exact budget.
