There are no actual cruise lines as such operating on the Nile. You can book accommodation on any of the Nile cruisers by booking through your travel agent or do it independently on line.

To be honest,I always feel you are better to make any tour bookings though a registered agent in your home country.

Multiple tour companies will have their clients and indiviual tourists on the same cruiser at the same time.

All the Nile cruisers with one or two exceptions are of 4 and 5 star rating and have double and trin share cabins.

Some have refrigerators in the cabins but this is the exception rather than the rule as they encourage you to buy your drinks on board but all have ensuite bathrooms and showers.

"Ahlan wa sahlan" welcome to Egypt.

I've done 2 Nile cruises & 1 Lake Nasser cruise, all with Thomas Cook. They use their own ships, & they are 1st class all the way, i mean i did 3 cruises with the same company.

The staff are the most pleasant & helpful people you could meet, the food was so lovely & lots of variety, the ships were smaller than than the huge cruisers you see, more intimate & same nationality only, very luxurious.

Not the cheapest, but for me = the best, i'd always go Thomas Cook in Egypt.

@ The ship i was on the Nile was The Royal Serenade & on Lake Nasser was Prince Abbas.

@@ Sistablu, Thomas Cook use the 'Nile corporation Co' ships almost exclusively, i personally know the general manager of of their 3 Nile cruisers.
