Black Hole Theories?

i know black holes are caused when a star collapses on itself, my question is what happens to all the matter that the black hole vacuums up, is the matter destroyed(i know that a law of physics says matter cannot be destroyed but what happens to the matter that is sucked up) or is a black hole more like a loop hole in space that sends all of the matter it vacuums up to the other end of the universe

    When matter falls into the event horizon it becomes isolated from the rest of space and time and has, effectively, disappeared from the universe that we exist in. Once inside the black hole the matter will be torn apart into its smallest subatomic components which will be stretched and squeezed until they to become part of the singularity and increase the radius of the black hole accordingly.

    Interestingly enough it has now been shown, by one Stephen Hawking, that the matter inside a black hole is not completely isolated from the rest of the universe and that given a sufficient length of time black holes will gradually dissolve by radiating away the energy of the matter that they contain.

    What is a white hole?

    The short answer is that a white hole is something which probably cannot exist in the real universe. A white hole will turn up in your mathematics if you explore the space-time around a black hole without including the star which made the black hole (ie. there is absolutely no matter in the solution). Once you add any matter to the space-time, the part which included a white hole disappears.

    If you actually think about the theory of "Black-Holes" it really isn't that complicated. Matter is sucked into the hole and then it is basically removed from time and space in generally. Not that confusing, not that hard. Matter will be gone!

    Well one theory is that it disappears into another region of space.

    However it has been noted that black holes emit vast amounts of X- rays.

    So, bearing in mind that matter can not be created or destroyed, but can change its "form", it is possible to assume that a lot of the matter in the black hole is converted to energy that is emitted as various forms of energy, of which X- rays is one.

    well all i know is that a black hole is really powerful that nothin' can escape it's pull.... the inside of the hole is invisible ..... i don't think it's been discovered where exactly the black hole takes the object it sucked.. in the hole. i hope my sources may be able to help you...

    I heard once that anything that is sucked into a black hole is stretched out so thin, like angel hair spaghetti. So I don't think it destroys matter, but it may send you FAR away out of this galaxy.
