1] Obscured By Clouds- Includes my favorite song, "Childhood's End" I though this was a great album and David was taking the band in a good direction. Very underrated.
2] The Piper at the Gates of Dawn- Ah, Syd!
3] Animals- Very good album
4] Wish You Were Here
5] Meddle
6] A Saucerful of Secrets
7] The Wall
8] Dark Side of the Moon- It's a great album but I think it's too overrated, I know people who like Pink Floyd but only know of this album.
The Final Cut, A Momentary Lapse of Reason, and Ummagumma (spell check) are good albums, but I don't enjoy them that much as the others. I'm too lazy at the moment to explain why I love the other records by them. But great question! I think I have a thumbs down troll.

Could easily answer Dark Side for many reasons, but Wish You Were Here is probably the best tribute to a departed bandmate, Syd Barrett, that anyone's ever done.
Rings especially true for me since a buddy who introduced me to Floyd died far too young. Can't listen to Shine on Crazy Diamond or Wish You Were Here without a personal resonance.
RIP Syd and Sheldon.

The Wall and The Piper at the Gates of Dawn are mine
I also like Umma Gumma and The Final Cut too
The Wall because it has a darker feel to it than their other albums
Piper because it has a sort of whimsical feel to it, especially "Bike" (In other words, it is the oppisite of The Wall)
Umma Gumma because it is kind of varied, no two tracks sound alike
Final Cut is more in the direction of hard rock, which is a different Floyd compared to their mellower earlier albums

Dark Side of the Moon because i love The Great Gig In the Sky. That goes for the David Gilmour era.
The Syd Barrett era i would have to say Pipers at the Gates of Dawn, and my favorite song would be See Emily Play.

The Wall. It was the first Floyd album I ever listened to, and it's just so great. I also like Piper, DSotM, Animals, and Wish You Were Here.

The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn
To me, that's one of the greatest debut albums of all time.

for particular, that is not a fantasy. There are 2 diverse variations of the Wizard Of ounces, Remasterd and not. i understand interior the remastered version you start up up the CD on the precise time the MGM lion roars for the final time in the past the action picture starts. I even have completed this and the audio/seen sync is amazingly marvelous and important.

the final cut. i like it because so many men go off to war and come back and have no support and end up hopeless. it's a shame.some then feel like suicide is the only thing left. it's so true even today.also i love the music and pink floyd rules.
