Currency exchange for Mexico?
I am travelling to Cancun, Mexico in the summer from the UK. Which currency will I receive more value from at the moment? The Mexican Pesos or the US Dollar? Many thanks.

Mikey still to this day does not understand the logic behind this.
It's Mexico - they use peso's
China uses yen
America uses dollars.
Most of eurpoe uses the euro.
OK now your a bartender , waiter , taxi driver in the UK and I hand you dollars ? Does not make much sense to Mikey.Lets say you accept my dollars. Are you going to first of all be up to date on the current exchange rate ? Probably not. You going to have a calculator right there to be able to give me the proper rate ? Probably not.
Now the next morning I have to go to the bank and exchange it. You are not doing me any favors here - hence the reason I am going to shaft you on the conversion.

Generally you will get better deals in pesos. If you have a checking account with a debit card, bring the card. You can use Visa and other connected cards at ATMs anywhere in the world. I live in the U. S. travel to Mexico often and carry very little cash. Get an American Express card. At the Am Ex office in Cancun you can cash up to a $1,000 check on your bank account in the UK each week . That way you aren't charged fees when you exchange money.

Well if you are bringing pounds I'm sure it's gonna be cheaper just to change it for pesos, but if you are already buying american dollars travellers checks, you don't have to cash them most of the times.
The thing is that you will need some pesos, it's our currency, but as a very touristic place you will always find where to cash dollars, or even Euros.
And the thing about exchanges it's that it's worthless to change it from pounds to us dollars and then pesos then your money will lost some value.
Have great Holidays
