How much would an autographed Earnhardt Sr tire sell for?

So I bought a NASCAR Goodyear Eagle tire for Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet in 1997. It was also signed by Dale himself with a silver Sharpie. I still have the receipt to prove it's authenticity.

Question is, what would this tire be valued at today? I'm thinking of selling it as it just takes up space, but don't want to do the ebay or craigslist route.

I also have a Harvick signed truck tire to get rid of also.

Update:

Honest answer, thank you. I only paid $50 for it from the dealership years ago, so I don't have much at all invested in it. Hardly ever see any of ebay that look legit is why I was hoping for an honest value.

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. eBay or Craigslist are probably the best places to see what you'll get, even though you say you don't want that.

The problem you have is that very few people are going to want something as big, bulky and difficult to display as a car tire (or worse, a truck tire). As you say, it takes up space.

Only the diehard Earnhardt collector who must have everything will show serious interest, and serious interest is the only way you're going to get top dollar. Everyone else will be looking to buy it cheap and hope to flip it for a profit.

The average collector that wants an Earnhardt signed piece wants a photo or a diecast, or something else small and displayable. For most people, being able to display their treasures is important. A tire doesn't fit that description, and the average collector will have little interest.

No one knows what the value is in today's market. In this economy, collectibles are a luxury item, meant for spending discretionary income that a lot of folks don't have, and did in 1997. My expectation is that you won't get close to what you paid. You'll have to find someone who really, really wants it, right now...like you did at the time.

    Dale Earnhardt Tire

I have several Earnhardt autographs but no tires.Tires are hard to display and very few collectors want them.

If there is a "Sports bar" near you see if the manager or owner will buy it to display.

You can start out a price of 150 to 200 and be good.

Try putting it back into NASCAR the museum might want it. Or Dale Jr even granted it would take alot to contact them.

Why sell? I would think it has more personal value then $50 -$100. That is if you have spot to put a tire.

What ever the market will bear...come over to thehotpass.com and ask silentbob to list it for you on his ebay store. He already has great a reputation and loyal buyers.

I would sell it no reserve and see where it ends up. I'm guessing you should be able to get over $1000 for it but it needs to be marketed...
