It's already been proven, that in saying our thank you to our creator, which some call God, that we are expressing gratitude for everything we've been blessed with. It could be talent like writing, acting, or even a plumber.

Every time we say 'thank you' we're telling God that we do appreciate the things we do have. It's when we don't appreciate them, that they are taken away or eliminated; and getting them back is harder than it was in the first place. If it's something negative that happens to me, then I look for 'a good thing' to thank for. One experience for me is today...when I went outside to start my car it was making a horrible sound. I couldn't for the life of me, figure out what the heck was wrong with it, because I hadn't driven it since Friday night. While it was running, I went to open the hood and saw small pieces of black threads. My worst feeling was correct and that it was my 'belt snapped.' At first, I was really upset, knowing I don't have the means or the money to fix it right now. So while I was walking to the gas station on the corner, in the freezing cold to get something to eat, I looked for what was positive about the situation. The very first thing that came to my mind was 'it happened in the parking lot where I live,' and not when I was out on the road...like on my way to work.

The first thing I did was say...'Thank you, God. This could have been a real issue if I'd been on the freeway.'

For every negative there is a positive. Now, I feel that I'm truly being taken care of. Maybe there is a reason I'm supposed to get a ride this week to work, who knows. When we are close to our creator, we will always be taken care of in some way. If we have a roof over our heads, food in our stomach...yeah...we work. But we are also given inspiration to do the things that will help us provide for ourselves, and it's always best to be grateful even in tough times. There is always something to be appreciated...like the ability to SEE to read this. The ability to HEAR what sounds that a deaf person cannot; to walk, talk, breathe and move unencumbered; having a job, even if it's not the best paying or even a high end job. We need to appreciate the things we do have to receive more.

When someone goes through public humiliation, gets whipped, and get hung from a 14 foot cross by their hands with nails in them, and did all for you, I think you would be grateful and WANT to return the favor.

    So yeah... =P

I don't get why there are so many Atheists on the Religion and Spirituality section when they believe in neither. Most people on here are looking for answers from fellow believers and not some Atheist with nothing better to do than to troll on this section.

Because He gave you life. He gives eternal life through His Son Jesus.

It's because of he is our every thing. he sacrifies his own son for us. Jesus and God is always thinking bout us. but why can't we even just thank him for those?? If we are not going to thank for them, we are the stupids.

THANX GOD FOR THE EVERY THING AND WE ARE ONLY YOURS NOW AND FOREVER.. AMEN!

The Old Testament and the New Testament provide many Scriptures for giving thanks to God. One primary factor is that God is given thanks just for who He is, not just for what He does. Throughout the context of many of these verses, you will see God’s character or one of His many attributes described.

Because Allah has sent down miracles, revelations and messengers to give clear proofs He exists and more important, what we should do once we come to this realization.

Allah has sent prophets and messengers with many proofs throughout the ages for people to be able to clearly see with their own eyes and to be able to use their own senses the miracles and proofs pointing to the fact, Allah does in fact, exist.

Miracles of prophets and messengers of Allah have come to people through the ages. Moses (peace be upon him) showed many miracles to pharaoh and to the children of Israel. Plagues, locusts, water turning to blood, his stick becoming a snake, the voice in the burning bush and the parting of the Red Sea are clear miracles for the people of Moses time.

Again, Allah sent Jesus, the son of Mary (peace be upon him) with clear miracles for the people of his time. Speaking from the cradle while still a new born infant, creating birds from clay, curing the sick, giving sight to the blind and even bringing a dead man back to life, were all clear signs to the people to know Jesus (peace be upon him) was a messenger of Allah as was Moses before him.

Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the last and final messenger of Allah, and he was sent to all of mankind. Allah sent him with a number of miracles, not the least of which was the Quran. The predictions and prophecies of Muhammad (peace be upon him) have come true even in this century and the Quran has been used to convince even scientists of the existence of Allah.

[Please visit "Science Proves Allah": Watch video of famous scientists admit Quran is from Allah and even accept Islam]

The Quran is the best of proofs for the existence of Allah and today over one and half billion people memorize and recite from the exact text, in the exact same language it was revealed in; Arabic. More than 10 million Muslims have completely memorized the entire Quran from cover to cover, and can recite it from memory without looking at it.

No one sees or hears Allah, not even the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Nor are we able to use our senses to make some kind of contact with Him. However, we are encouraged in Islam to use our senses and our common sense to recognize this entire universe could not possibly come into existence on its own. Something had to design it all and then put it into motion. This is beyond our ability to do, yet it is something we can understand.

We know from the teachings of Muhammad (peace be upon him) the proofs for the existence of God (Allah) are most obvious to us in our everyday surroundings. Anyone with understanding would quickly acknowledge His existence provided they are not so stubborn as to ignore the obvious evidences right in front of us.

We don't have to see an artist to recognize a painting, correct? So, if we see paintings without seeing artists painting them, in the same way, we can believe Allah created everything without having to see Him (or touch, or hear, etc.).
