What do you think of Peyton Manning's demand that the Colts hire Norv Turner as head coach??? ?

NFL Network's Adam Schefter just reported that upon hearing Tony Dungy's farewell speech, Peyton Manning went into GM Bill Polian's office and demanded that the Colts do what it takes to hire Norv Turner as head coach of the Colts. Apparently Manning is enamored with Turner's playcalling and is sick and tired of losing to the Chargers in the playoffs. Manning feels Turner is the solution to take the Colts over the top. Center Jeff Saturday and WR Anthony Gonzalez have given Turner their full endorsement as well.

Very stupid, if anything, the colts might really benefit from a guy like mike shanahan. Can you imagine those 2 offensive minds working together like that? That could be scary for the rest of the league. Norv Turner is definitely not the answer though.

I think that Peyton needs to watch film of the Raiders and the Redskins during the Norv Turner eras.

However, I think Norv is a top offensive coordinator just not quite good enough as a head coach -- but he will always be better than Schottenheimer.

    --- edit

Norv's lifetime record is 77-95-1 not 69-87-1 (you are not including this year's record). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norv_Turner#NFL_coach...

Since I am not a Dolts fans I can say that I would be thrilled to see Indy sign Turner. I'm sick of Manning and sick of Harrison, Wayne, Addai, and the rest of the team. Bringing in Turner (69-87-1coaching record )would remove them from the playoff radar for good. They don't play in the AFC West, you know.

That said, I thought Dungy's caddy was next in line for the head coaching job. And isn't he a minority coach? Ooooooh!

Source(s): Turner may have "helped" get SD into the playoffs, but Mike Shanahan did, too!

If this were true I'd say Peyton Manning has the authority to get any coach he wants.

It's funny how somebody such as yourself would put so much time and effort into typing up something like that when it is nowhere near true. I believe you are now dumber for that LOL.
