generally you should change your oil between 3500-4500 miles and if you are going by the oil percentage life then you should come in when it reaches around 15%...this monitor does NOT phyically measure the level of oil in your vehicle but is calculated based on your driving habits. When you go that long between oil changes you are using dirty oil and that is not good for your engine...if you do not keep a good service record and reasonable milage services than you may run into problems with your warrenty if say...your engine blows because of no oil.
I wouldn't wait too long it's cheaper to get an oil change at regular intervals than to replace an engine on an 06...this happens a lot more than you would think

The oil change warning tells you the life of your oil. Even if you have enough oil in there, old oil will be dirty and will have a decreased lifespan. You can try resetting the oil life indicator, but it will probably still measure a low reading until you get a proper oil change.
To reset the oil life indicator:
When you have the Maintenance Minder (% oil life) displayed, push-and-hold Reset. After about 5 seconds, it will reset itself.
Some people go hundreds or thousands of miles past the time they should get an oil change. Driving around a couple days won't be too bad but get in for an oil change soon to be on the safe side.

The little wrench sign is tied to a sensor with your tachometer. The dealer resets this sensor and it is programed to come back on every 3000 miles or so. You can actually go 6000 between oil changes with no engine damage but i'm sure that little wrench will get on your nerves after so long. if you turn the key over and pump the gas, then turn the key back off and start it the wrench light should go off. Try pumping the gas two times, then try three times. That should take care of the light.

Do you need an oil change - or do you need to add oil????
Don't EVER drive your car if it is showing low on oil. Oil is like your car's blood. If the car needs oil - put some oil in it. Even if you change it in the next few days - it's WORTH the extra three bucks not to take the chance of ruining your whole engine.
If you don't get an oil change exactly when you need it - it's not as big of a deal. But - I know that getting regular and timely oil changes is one of the best things you can do for your car.

you probably can last the trip, but remember that the worse you treat your car, it will not last as long. and o repair i if anything goes wrong later because of the influence of your driving habits. Parts and service is expensive.
PS put oil in there if you need it dont go off without oil in your engine

you will be more than fine. i know lots of people who only change oil once or twice a year on regular oil and they have no problems whatsoever

You should be fine.
I have a '92 civic. I've put 350k miles on it and I think I've changed the oil about 10 times.

Just make sure you actually have oil in there. As long as you do, you'll be fine.
