Credit Card Expiry Question?
I'm just wondering - what's the normal practice -
Say I have a credit card expiring on Feb 2009 - and I would still be carrying a balance on my card by that time - would banks normally ask you to settle the full amount, or do you just get a new card?

Yes, they will send you a new card. Here is a tip for you from my personal experience, it is unwise to pay the minimum or to even carry a balance over to the next month. Always pay the most you can until the card is paid off then just live within your means. I advise you use the card, just pay it off every time the statement comes. This works especially well if you have a cash back card or some other type of rewards card. Make them pay you to use your money instead of you paying them to use your money.

They have always sent me a new card. They want you to keep making those payments instead of settling the full amount. They make more money that way!

If you are in good standing you will get a new card in the mail. If your behind on payments they can ask for the balance to be paid in full

I just always got a new card mailed to me, its a security feature as far as I know.

I think they would send you a new card nut the only way to find out for sure is to call your Finacial Institution....

You should have already getten a new card. I would contact them, in case they sent it and it is lost.
