Do you say striped with one syllable or two ?

My friend and I are debating over this and I already checked the dictionary and it said both pronunciations are correct . I just want your opinion .

I live in Texas and my friend is from the north

    Both are correct. I think it depends where you live as to how you say it. Northerners are more likely to use 1 syllable and Southerners are more likely to use 2. I use 2. You say potatoe, I say potato !
