You receive rather nasty texts, the idiot sending them does not hide their number What would you text back ?
This has happened to my daughter. We dealt with it our way What would you have done? She had half a dozen rude texts and I mean rude. BTW she is a very pretty girl and popular
we did not show my husband as he would have been furious. her boyfriend helped me sort it.

First of all, I would not respond to these texts in any way but I would save them as a record. It is an offence to make abusive, nuisance or threatening calls/texts. However, unless these texts which your daughter received were of a threatening nature (and you believed the threat to be real), I would not involve the Police, but would contact her mobile network provider for their advice. They have departments which deal with abusive calls, etc., and may be able to put special measures in place.

Give the number to the police, get a block on it and let them deal with the swine whose sending the texts. Maybe get a new sim card too, for a new number.
That's what my friend did last year when it happened to her.

I would call that number and sort them out ASAP.
I have had the same thing happen to me, I always call back, most times they are too scared to answer the phone and the others who do answer usually are very apologetic, cowards people like that.

this happened to my daughter a few years ago and i rang the number and i could hear laughing.they then txt back thinking it was funny that i had rang so we gave their number to the police but they said their wasn't much they could do.they gave us an incident number but apart from that they just said change your number.they say they don't have time to trace numbers.i was furious as this was harassment.luckily the calls stopped eventually.

The last one I would have sent would have said that all the texts were being turned over to the police department and harassment charges would be filed. Be prepared to be arrested.

It`s really difficult isn`t it? If you call the Police they are too busy. If you sort it out yourself `the old fashioned way` you`re just as likely to get yourself in trouble or worse.
I guess it depends on the party sending the text, and how well you know them. I`d try talking first. Then ignoring then I dunno.

get a payg phone don`t register it and send a few texts back Not anything threatning though, perhaps just a little scarey to teach the little coward a lesson

I would of threatened them with the police, reminding them how easy it is for the police to track a mobile number.

If I wrote what I would text back, I would get a lot of violation notices on here.
