We want to take a vacation to Canada?

We want to take a week long vacation to Niagara falls in about 3 weeks here, and do you need to have passports to cross the USA and Canadian border, over the Ambassador bridge?

Also my boyfriend owes back child support will he be eligible to get a passport, does he or can he ask permission to go?

You do need now a Passport to cross the Canadian-US boarder. I'll just say, I've been to Niagara Falls many times and it's not exactly worth a full week. Though maybe you'll find things to do. Pretty much you can see the falls and go downtown, but besides that not so much. Oh, if you haven't already booked a hotel, Great Wolf Lodge is an amazing place to stay at.

Until June 2009 you can travel across the border without a passport. I hope your deadbeat dad boyfriend isn't eligible for a passport as he should be paying the money he owes his kid, not going on vacation.

Until June,2009 you can drive across border and back with just birth certificate and government issued photo id (drivers license). After that time you'll need a passport even to drive back across.

I dont know if owing child support bans you from passport.

Passports are not needed for LAND travel to and from Canada until June 1, 2009. Until then , you can use your birth certificate and photo I.D. Owing back child support of 2,500 dollars or more prevents you from getting a passport.

    Hi

I don`t think your bf should go. If we don`t catch him the US boarder will.
