Who else thought the New Batman Movie was boring?

The script was really sloppy. Some parts like where the joker cuts the guy's face were sort of unnecessary and only added in to revolve around Ledger's performance (not that it wasn't good it's just he wasn't the main character). Harvery Dent was pretty bland and boring. Did we really need a mobster for every ethnic organized crime branch? A lot of the action sequences were contrived like where Dent kills the Mob Boss in the car (I don't think the odds would be high enough to ensure a kill by making the car go out of control) and how the hell did the Joker manage to get all those bombs in the hospital and boats without getting noticed. I know he's rich but still how could he do that without being noticed. Also, when Batman catches Rachel when she's falling, it is totally ridiculous that he would survive the all, nomek survival suit or no nomek survival suit. A lot of the dialogue is a little on the nose. Like when the Joker meets with Harvey Dent in the hospital and describes himself as "an agent of chaos" he's explicitly explaining the concept of the joker as an evil being for evil's sake. Michael Caine's monologues and Jim Gordon's monologue at the end are similarly defective. Lastly, the part where Batman flips over the truck is such a ripoff of the Empire Strikes Back Hoth Battle.

Also: people are saying how dark this story was. They have no idea what a true dark story is.

First...you are reading the wrong comics.

Secondly, this film was great and the closest to the comic I have ever seen. It had nothing to do with Heath Ledger dying and had to do with the fact the film was just fantastic. This Joker was more true to the comics Joker. Read "The Long Halloween". That is where the film came from. And also try "The Killing Joke". Those will show where the film came from.

I couldn't say about the comics, I've never read them, but I really enjoyed the movie, i wasn't bored at all. And yeah, Heath Ledger dying gave it quite a bit of hype, but he didn't act that way planning to die, he still would have gotten the hype because of the performance he did.Putting Heath Ledger aside, i didn't have a problem with any of the other actors, i thought they were very good. I loved the movie!

I quite enoyed it.

After reading critical acclaim about the film, I watched t and I was blown away.

I rather this film than Joel Schumachers Batman films.

Sometime I just like to turn my brain off and have fun. 8)

i don't know what yours talking about! dark knight was the first super hero movie that an actor won a golden globe for and non the less a dead one. why do you think he won? it isn't because Heath is gone it is because he was amazing in the movie. i always hated the super hero movies and this is the first one that was actually intense and i liked and wasn't cheesy at all to me

I tried to get into it, but I'll be honest, I liked the other batman movies better. This one, while I'm sure it has its fan base, was way overrated.
