Worship That God Approves
Are all religions pleasing to God?
How can we identify the true religion?
Who are God’s true worshipers on earth today?
JEHOVAH GOD deeply cares for us and wants us to benefit from his loving direction. If we worship him in the right way, we will be happy and will avoid many problems in life. We will also have his blessing and his help. (Isaiah 48:17) There are, however, hundreds of religions that claim to teach the truth about God. Yet, they differ greatly in their teachings about who God is and what he expects of us.
2 How can you know the right way to worship Jehovah? You do not have to study and compare the teachings of all the many religions. You need only learn what the Bible really teaches about true worship. To illustrate: In many lands, there is a problem with counterfeit money. If you were given the job of picking out such false money, how would you go about it? By memorizing every kind of counterfeit? No. Your time would be better spent if you studied real money. After you knew what real money looked like, you could recognize a counterfeit. Similarly, when we learn how to identify the true religion, we can recognize those religions that are false.
3 It is important that we worship Jehovah in the way that he approves. Many people believe that all religions are pleasing to God, but the Bible does not teach that. It is not even enough just to claim to be a Christian. Jesus said: “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.” To have God’s approval, therefore, we must learn what God requires of us and do it. Jesus called those who do not do God’s will “workers of lawlessness.” (Matthew 7:21-23) Like counterfeit money, false religion has no real value. Even worse, such religion is actually harmful.
4 Jehovah gives everyone on earth the opportunity to gain everlasting life. To have eternal life in Paradise, however, we must worship God properly and live now in a way that is acceptable to him. Sadly, many refuse to do so. That is why Jesus said: “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.” (Matthew 7:13, 14) True religion leads to everlasting life. False religion leads to destruction. Jehovah does not want any human to be destroyed, and that is why he is giving people everywhere an opportunity to learn about him. (2 Peter 3:9) Really, then, the way we worship God means either life or death for us.
HOW TO IDENTIFY THE TRUE RELIGION
5 How can ‘the road to life’ be found? Jesus said that the true religion would be evident in the lives of the people who practice it. “By their fruits you will recognize them,” he said. “Every good tree produces fine fruit.” (Matthew 7:16, 17) In other words, those who practice the true religion would be recognized by their beliefs and their conduct. Although they are not perfect and they make mistakes, true worshipers as a group seek to do God’s will. Let us consider six features that identify those who practice true religion.
6 God’s servants base their teachings on the Bible. The Bible itself says: “All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man [or woman] of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16, 17) To his fellow Christians, the apostle Paul wrote: “When you received God’s word, which you heard from us, you accepted it, not as the word of men, but, just as it truthfully is, as the word of God.” (1 Thessalonians 2:13) Hence, beliefs and practices of the true religion are not based on human views or tradition. They originate in God’s inspired Word, the Bible.
7 Jesus Christ set the proper example by basing his teachings on God’s Word. In prayer to his heavenly Father, he said: “Your word is truth.” (John 17:17) Jesus believed the Word of God, and everything he taught harmonized with the Scriptures. Jesus often said: “It is written.” (Matthew 4:4, 7, 10) Then Jesus would quote a scripture. Similarly, God’s people today do not teach their own ideas. They believe that the Bible is God’s Word, and they base their teachings firmly on what it says.
8 Those who practice the true religion worship only Jehovah and make his name known. Jesus declared: “It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.” (Matthew 4:10) Thus, God’s servants worship no one other than Jehovah. This worship includes letting people know what the name of the true God is and what he is like. Psalm 83:18 states: “You, whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the Most High over all the earth.” Jesus set the pattern in helping others to get to know God

I say never believe a religion that worships an old book that is full of errors, but believe in nature's Creator as evidenced by His creations.

I think it's nonsense for people to push their religious beliefs on others and have them forget about their own beliefs. Regardless of their beliefs. Whether they're Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim, Hinduism and other religious cultures.

The religion you recognize is nothing but ego. "I" am a Muslim, "I" am a Hindu, "I" am a Christian. This doesn't help a little to move up the spiritual ladder. All these "I" will not help you in realizing God. What ever the people call, Allah, Jesus, Krishna, Buddha, all the prayers will reach one God. You can experience the tranquility you get if you think for a second that all religions are truth and all religions worship same God. So, the answer to your question is there is no true religion and all religions are same.

1.The true religion has respect for God's word, not watering it down, using some parts and disregarding others-2 Timothy 3:16,17 2. It is "no part of the world". It doesn't get involved in politics, nationalism or class struggles-John 17:16 3. It has as it's members people who have "love among themselves". They do not go to war against one another. They are not divided by various religious differences-John 13:35;1 Corinthians 1:10 Ask yourself: 1. What religion has members who are known for their strong moral values? 2. What religion is well known for expelling unrepentant wrongdoers? 3. What religion has not taken up the attitude that certain sexual practices, once thought of as sinful, are now o.k.? 4. Which religion refuses to go to war, get involved in politics, nationalism or class struggles? 5. Which religion has members who, worldwide, do not believe that we have an immortal soul, that God and Jesus are part of a trinity, the wicked, after death, are alive being eternally tormented? Look for the one that has all of this and you will find the true religion.

It's a matter of you finding the true religion for yourself. Why not let Jehovah Witnesses in your homes to study? They don't force people into their religion. Nothing is stopping you from reading about different religions and you can compare what the religion with the Bible principles. How to identify the true religion? “By their fruits you will recognize them,” he said. “Every good tree produces fine fruit.” (Matthew 7:16, 17)

WHATS THE POINT ?? And by the way what is meant by "TRUE RELIGION" ??
If I believe in Hinduism - Hindus will be happy
If I believe in Islam - Muslims will be happy
If I believe in Christianity - Christians will be happy and so on.
But is God exists...is he happy ?? Most will say "YES". But the question is "How do you know ?". Now, one may respond that God said that.....Oh Really !! Again "How do you know ?" The possible answer will be - "Its written in religious books". And who wrote those books...... "God / Gods" or "Prophets".
Now, If God wrote it, I will be happy to see the hand written script. I am sure there is nothing such like that exists in this world. Remains the writings of a "prophet".....yes that exists but again how do you know its the sayings of God....we just believe it. Well no proof again.
I tried to question a religious fact once and the guy listening to that questioned me with anger - "Are you a prophet ?". According to him I need to be a prophet to question a religious point....... The fact is it's the guy's concept and not of the religion. Its no where written that I need to be a prophet.
I don't believe in religion...but I believe in God. I do not know which God..... but there is someone who created everything - The "Almighty". People stated rules, rituals and rites as explained by God (as people say) in various religious books. But who wrote that.... its some person again. Some are called "Prophets". But who designated the person as "Prophet"....Its again us (people). God didn't offer us anything like that....its us who did. What is the point in believing a person that blindly ??
People make sacrifices, offers materialistic items to god in the name of worship. Do you think God, who created the whole universe, needs our offerings. Are we that powerful to offer something to God. Is God Materialistic ?? Or does he that week that he needs our assistance.
A well known saying "God loves sacrifices"... again don't know whether sacrifices with a reason or without. Some people sacrifice living creature like goat, birds, cows, buffaloes etc. But what kind of so called "Sacrifice" is this , where the person didn't loose anything and the creature looses its life. What has the person sacrifice here ?? In true sense the creature has sacrifice his life.
This is a endless debate... but the almighty has offered us our friend "Virtue" to us. Us it to take decisions. Human came first in this world.....religion came later. Religion came when immorality prevailed. Legends came to bring back on track (Morality). "No Moral decision can be wrong... and no right decision can be immoral"
Religion cannot be judged as true of False....but Morality can.

most religious people do not think for themselves.
I have proof.
Most people grow up, and are taught religion by family etc...
How many people do you know that were raised catholic and became Muslim or Jewish ?
How many Jews have become Taoists ?
How many Taoists now worship Shiva or Seti ?
There are hundreds of religions and gods,
and no one can PROVE they are right and everyone else is wrong
BUT........
they bet their souls on it, even without studying every other religion to make sure.
that is idiocy in the Nth degree.
If i DID beleive in god, i would make sure i was right.
start studying...

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6
When Christ bowed on the banks of Jordan, after His baptism, the heavens were opened, and the Spirit descended in the form of a dove, like burnished gold, and encircled Him with its glory; and the voice of God from the highest heaven was heard, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." The prayer of Christ in man's behalf opened the gates of heaven, and the Father had responded, accepting the petition for the fallen race. Jesus prayed as our substitute and surety, and now the human family may find access to the Father through the merits of His well-beloved Son. This earth, because of transgression, had been struck off from the continent of heaven. Communication had ceased between man and his Maker; but the way has been opened so that he may return to the Father's house. Jesus is "the way, the truth, and the life." The gate of heaven has been left ajar, and the radiance from the throne of God shines into the hearts of those who love Him, even though they dwell in this sin-cursed earth. The light that encircled the divine Son of God will fall upon the pathway of all who follow in His footsteps. There is no reason for discouragement. The promises of God are sure and steadfast.

It's the true religion *for me*. I consider myself a Christian but I'm not a church goer because I don't believe in organized religions.

I glad you ask that question. True religion means that true worhippers respecte the bibe as God's word. They strive to live by its principle. so true religion differs from religion that is based on man's idea's. True worshippers do not preach one thing and pratice another. Please read John 17:17-21.
