04 ford explorer throttle body?

Just wondering, if anyone knows of a company that does a port and polish on an electric throttle body for an 04 ford explorer 4.6 V8. How much? and what is their contact info?

    Here's the deal with your fuel control system, you can port and polish the throttle body all you want, and yes it is electronic on the 04 V8 Explorer, but it will not make any difference in how your engine runs. Any extra air you think you may be taking in, will be adjusted in the engine computer to keep your Explorer running just as it did from the factory, that's the catch, you cannot change one fuel system part and expect to get great gains, the PCM will always try to adjust to keep the fuel mixture exactly as it is progammed to be, no matter how much you polish at the throttle body, it will always try to adjust the mixture to the stoichiometric setting from the factory, it is a waste of money unless you modify injectors, heads, exhaust, PCM programming, etc.

    As Doug said, it is the same thing.. Ford calls it a electronic throttle body, others use the simpler drive by wire term.

    why arent you just purchasing the high performance throttle body? the mustangs use them, try going to street and performance web sight and ask them what tricks they have for you. your gonna thank me after you wipe off the drool.
