Lobster base substitutions?

I have a recipe that calls for lobster base. I know you can buy it online, but I'm not a big fan on ordering online. I have been to several stores here and cannot find it. I was wondering if there are substitutions for it.

Here is the recipe:

SEAFOOD ENCHILADAS - CANCUN STYLE

6 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup flour

1/2 teaspoon white pepper

2 tablespoons lobster base

3 1/2 cups 2% low-fat milk

1 cup white wine or cooking sherry

8 ounces monterey jack cheese, shredded

1 (4 ounce) can baby shrimp

2 (8 ounce) packages imitation crabmeat, flake style

10 (6 inch) flour tortillas, old mission restaurant style

paprika

==============================================

FOR THE SAUCE.

Melt butter in a 2 quart saucepan over medium heat.

Add flour.

Cook and stir for 5 minutes(should have a nutty aroma).

Add 1/2 tsp white pepper.

Stir in 2 tbsps lobster base and cook for an additional minute.

Add milk & wine.

Add 2 oz. of the cheese.

Continue to cook until thickened.

=============================================

FOR THE CRAB MIX.

Lightly chop the flaked imitation crab.

Combine with shrimp in a medium size bowl.

Add 1.5 cups of cold sauce.

Mix well.

=============================================

FOR THE ENCHILADAS.

Lay out the tortillas on a flat surface.

Place 2 to 3 heaping tablespoons of the crab mix across the center of each tortilla.

Place flap of the tortilla over the crab mix and roll.

Place flap side down onto a plate or in your baking dish.

Ladle warm sauce over the enchiladas.

Top with remaining monterey jack cheese.

Put into a preheated 425 degree convection oven for 12-14 minutes. In a conventional oven you may want to microwave on high for a minute or 2 before placing in the oven.

Watch and do not allow to burn(brown spots).

Sprinkle with paprika.

Thanks!!

    As a former chef and from Canada, I use to use a product like what your describing, it was a concentrated lobster flavouring paste, made but boiling down the shells of lobsters and other ingredients to make a flavour base, here in Canada we sell in the grocery store a product called Lobster Pate, a type of the same product, in any other country, US or UK it may be available in the area of the store were they sell the canned fish, like salmon, tuna and sardines, it is in a small container/tin.

    But if that is not possible, use a tablespoon of tomato paste with a bit of paprika and dilute it will some bottled or can clam nectar/juice for a seafood flavour. I also buy a Vietnamese crab paste, it is quite tangy and has a strong smell, if you have an Asian shop, and I have bought fish bouilloin cubes from a Mexican store here in Canada

    Just use a reduced seafood stock. Instead of canned shrimp, you can buy fresh and use the shells to make a stock. Fry shrimp shells in butter for 3-4 minutes under medium heat. Add 1-2 cups water and cook on high until water is reduced by 2/3 or 3/4. Strain out shells.

    ----edit----

    I would actually reduce it even further than I indicated. Lobster base is quite thick, so reducing it down to 1/4 cup liquid would be the way I would go.

    If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://biturl.im/aUAK4

    The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

    just use some fresh lobster or maybe you can get canned lobster, if not just leave it out it basically is bottled lobster meat in a tomato sauce and soup base.(like lobster boullon powder)

    There is no real substitute, to the real thing. I would go to a reputable online store, and get some there.
