I'm flying to Mexico in a few weeks and have researched this a lot. For the most part buying straight though http://www.delta.com/ or http://www.continental.com/ were the two cheapest. Unlike the other person said, Mexico does not require you to have a round trip ticket. For your daughter you must have a written and notarized permission form signed by her father giving you permission to take her out of the country.

Your best bet would be to fly stop over or transfer. Look at Korean and Japanese Airlines. You can have a stop over in Korea or Japan on the way (stopovers can be a few hours to several days). Be creative, for example, perhaps if you fly to Korea then take a flight to northern china or even take a boat, then you might be a better deal. Also, the best fights will be at the End of the CHinese new year in February, when Chinese people are returning back to where they live after returning home for that holiday.

You may go for http://www.onetravel.com/ to find cheap airplane tickets to Mexico. Search for airfare deals to Mexico.
Good luck !

You're usually best checking the airlines' own websites as they will offer fares without agent commission and so on.
However, you may be able to purchase tickets at further discounts from online agents like Expedia, Travelocity and so on.

Try cheaptickets.com
Or priceline.com You can bid on priceline for cheaper prices. But if you do give an offer you must purchase the ticket.
These have been the two lowest priced fares for airfare that I have ever found.

Kayak.com compares all the airlines so you can see which one is the cheapest. Mexicana tends to usually be cheap. So is Aero Mexico. Just check kayak. Or farecompare.com
