my sister had nits, and a lot of hair. We didn't actually do all the sheet changing and all that. Just wash their hair once of twice with the nit stuff and dry thier hair then use that metal comb. The metal comb really works, gets rid of nits and hundreds of the eggs!!!

Try moov this product works great. See website moov.com.au
Wash their sheets and pillow cases in hot water when you treat them.
You HAVE to reapply a week after the first treatment (I do it on the 5th day). Also use a cheap conditioner afterwards twice a week and comb through with a nit comb. I keep a nit comb in the shower and after an outbreak my daughter combs her hair through with conditioner herself. For girls tie their hair up in a pony tail etc and spray with a nit prevention spray or water with a few drops of tea tree oil or neem oil. Hairspray also helps stop the little critters hanging on. Check the whole family, mum and dad to, treat everyone together. You may need to change products with different ingredients every second time. You should also alert the kids teachers and school so they can send out a note to other parents. (Do this on the quiet so the kids don't get embarrassed.) I also tell my daughters friends mums if they play after school or on the weekend. Be vigilant and you will win the fight. Good luck.

before everything quit employing the stinky stuff that the docs or chemist supply you, the nits seem to get proof against the stuff in the top. My ultimate recommendation to you would be to purchase Tea Tree Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. Comb your childs her first previously you shampoo it in the adventure that your childs hair is long. Wash the hair and then practice extremely some conditioner. The eggs will slide out with the conditioner yet you may shop checking another day. Repeat the technique until you think of the eggs have long previous. Alot of persons make the blunders of merely getting the crawleys out, forgetting relating to the white eggs related to the hair shafts. merely shop checking on a frequently going on foundation. I take it that your baby/infants are nevertheless at accepted college. Its the mummy and dad who do no longer extremely verify their childs hair frequently that makes the difficulty for the mothers that do verify. I had it while my 2 ladies the place in accepted shcool. Now they are the two in severe college, difficulty ceased. good success. believe me it is going to artwork.

olive oil works really good. make sure the hair is saturated and the scalp is covered. Let sit for an hour or so comb through the hair and wash out. You will need to use Dawn dish soap to get the oil out. And you will have to wash a couple of times.
Wash all bedding, pillows, hats, jackets, scarfs. I threw out all ponyties, combs, brushes. Any thing that went in their hair. Remind them not to share anything at school. Put their hats, scarves in the sleeves of their jackets.
Spray all the furniture with the Nix spray. I found that the Nix shampoo didn't work very well for us. The olive oil worked the best.

I had to work at a really rough school and we were always getting them, someone told me about putting tea tree oil in a spray bottle with some water (just a few drops of the oil) I gave it a go, any thing was worth a try. To my amazement it worked and not had them since! x Hope it helps you too....I liked it as my daughter has sensitive skin and i didn't want to be piling on the chemicals all the time, I just spray it on after i have done her hair - you only need a little

My little sister also used to get them all the time. Use Mayonnaise all over their heads, let it sit for about 20-25 min. with a shower cap over their hair. Then go through their hair with the comb and or with your fingers and pick them out. My mom also used to keep her hair in gel and hairspray every morning before school and up in a ponytail. When spraying down the house and stuff with that spray, dont forget your car if its fabric, a lot of people forget that. Hope this helped, plus mayo is a good conditioner for their hair. Shampoo it after process

If your kids are getting them constantly, then maybe have them use the nits shampoo once a week on a regular basis. Just check the one you are using can be used in that way. Some are a lot stronger and I wouldn't reccomend using one of them on a regular basis.

tea tree oil and lavender oil are really good for keeping the little pests away! i have a 2 yr old daughter that kept getting them and my mum put me onto this! believe me it works cause they hate the smell and wont go near it. what you do is 2or3 drops of lavender oil and 4or5 drops of tea tree oil in a spray bottle filled with water and do the hair as normal then spray the nape of the neck and behind the ears with the water and off you go. or you can just use the water to wet down the hair before you do it.

Make sure you wash their sheets, spray RID on all the furniture and carpet, (may have to get the carpet professionally heat cleaned), put their stuffed animals in the dryer. You need to ask their dr. Lice shampoo is not supposed to be used all the time. Can be harmful to them.
Make sure your children blow dry their hair every day. Hair spray is good to use. Tell the school when they get lice also. It could be coming from there and other students need to be treated.

Start with a treatment that is formulated to kill the nits. From there make sure to comb, comb, comb!
Another trick I also learned is to buy the queen helene conditioner at family dollar and coat their heads in it, cover, and let them wear it as long as possible each night.
Then comb, comb, comb.
