First navigate to Yahoo.
On your browser, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> General
Click the button that says "Use current"
Hit Apply, then OK

I just typed in Yahoo and there was a place on the page (at the top of the page, left hand corner) that said make Y my home page.I clicked on it and it has been my home page for over a year now.

How to set yahoo back as home page after system recovery. On a laptop. My husband has Internet Explorer and lost everything.

You can also do it this way:
First click on the start button (windows!)
Then click on Control Panel
Then Click on Network and Internet
Then right under Internet Options there should be a link that says Change your Homepage
Then you can just type in www.yahoo.com, and hit apply
and your done!
There is also a button to Use Current which you can use if your browser is on the page you want.
I use windows vista so it might be a little different if you have older versions of windows but you can also just click on Internet Options and it will lead you to the right place.

Once you log onto Yahoo right beneath the task bar should be an area that says "Make Y! (or Yahoo!) your home page. Click on that and you'll get direction from there.

Every time I set Yahoo.com for my home page, it becomes MSN.com. I have always had Yahoo, and I hate Windows 8, I am 71, I learned windows 7 myself, this windows 8 is too technical for me, I have had a computer for 2 years!

Posting here is useless, I just wrote 2 comments, one was incomplete due to lack of character entry space, the second was truncated, I typed 200 characters and only 50 were kept (figures approx.).... Ahhh, what's the point of continuing.
