How does Kooyong classic work?

Is it like 2 groups with 4 players each with the top player from each grp playing in the final? If yes then from watching the first 2 days I suppose the 2 groups were

1: moya, fed, cilic, verdasco

2: ljubicic, baghdatis, gonzalez, wawrinka

For fri, however, I see that ljubicic is playing moya and bagh vs cilic and no fed and verdasco (not fed vs verdasco). The utterly useless kooyong classic website doesn't seem to have any info also on how this works.

Update:

Yea, I'm also thinking the guys are playing for a little practice today. They said that fed qualified for the finals so he might have decided to skip today's match. The imp. (sort of) one is gonzo vs wawrinka since one of these will goto the finals. Verdasco probably decided to rest so they probably just fixed up some random match for the remaining 4 guys.

Yeah I was wondering that too but I think it's just like the undefeated people out of two matches go to the final ... so weird ... and the people who lose just play the other losers for fun or something coz Marcos Baghdatis was just like 'yeah i'll just have some fun today...' i was like ... so confused. Anyways i know this doesnt help but o well ... it just confused me more!
