Since some people think you have to believe in the trinity doctrine to be a Christian does that mean all the ?
apostles and early Christians are burning in hell? The trinity doctrine was not fully developed until the end of the fourth centruy.
Or do some people say that you only had to believe the trinity doctrine after the 4th centruty. Also, can you point me to a Bible verse that says the requirements for being saved will be changed to include requiring belief in that doctrine? Thank you.
Oh, for point of reference, I am a oneness Pentecostal.
>>>The word "Godhead" is in the Bible. It is the word they used to describe the Trinity.<<<
The Greek word just means deity, not a council of gods. Also, you did not answer my question.
>>>The Trinity has always been. Read Genesis And yes to be a Christian one needs to believe in the Trinity<<<
So all Christians, including the apostles, went to hell for the first 4 centruries AD?

1. Think of the trinity as a person. A person has flesh, spirit and soul. So does God! God the Son (flesh), God the Father (Soul) and God the Holy Spirit (Spirit). 2. Absolutely. Jesus was in Heaven, then He came down from Heaven to sacrifice His life for us, and now He's back in Heaven again awaiting His return to Earth. The Holy Spirit is on Earth now within God's children. When His children are raised in the rapture, so is the Holy Spirit. 3. It's a unity, not a committee! 4. Jesus IS God on Earth. 5. Jesus NEVER died. Just His flesh died. 6. Jesus is BOTH the Son of God and God. 7. Jesus didn't speak of the trinity per se on account of being crucified before His ministry was accomplished. He would've been killed on the spot for blasphemy! 8. Fullness is the same as Completeness. Means, Jesus is Completely God.

C, Cj and anyone else who wants to tout off about the trinity being Biblical... How come it is not listed in John 1? How come the only passage in the Bible that supports the trinity doctrine is proved to be added by the Vatican in the Latin Vulgate Bible? Besides the fact that it does not even fit with the language and subject of 1 John 5? Yes, Genesis does say Our Likeness.... and John 1 refers to more than one. The trinity doctrine closes off the God Family... so how can we become sons of God? What purpose do we have, and for what purpose were we created if we are to be below the angels for ever? The Bible says we will rise above the ranks of the angels.. and what is above that other than the God family? For more information please e-mail me and I'll provide as much info as I can.
Point id th that the trinity doctrine makes our existence worthless. Its very thoughts and ideas are disprovable countless times by the Bible. Add your thoughts and scriptures and I'll be happy to add mine showing the RIGHT way.
Good Luck to all, and Great Question.

the trenity is a lie from the roman empire.
duteronimy says hear oh Israel the lord your G/d, the lord is one lord.
John one says " in the begining was the word and the word was with G/d and the word was G/d.
the fact is that there is only one G/d period.
scripture also says that G/d lends nor gives his power to no other.
the messiah is a body incarnated by the almighty. not a second member of some fictional trinity.
he said I and my father are one not I and my father are 2 members of a trion diety that agree alike as a married couple.
there is one G/d.

Search the Bible, especially the 27 books of the Christian Greek Scriptures, to see for yourself if Jesus and his disciples taught a Trinity. As you search, ask yourself:
1. Can I find any scripture that mentions “Trinity”?
2. Can I find any scripture that says that God is made up of three distinct persons, Father, Son, and holy spirit, but that the three are only one God?
3. Can I find any scripture that says that the Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom?
Search as you may, you will not find one scripture that uses the word Trinity, nor will you find any that says that Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom. Not even a single scripture says that the Son is equal to the Father in those ways and if there were such a scripture , it would establish not a Trinity but at most a “duality.” But NOWHERE does the Bible equate the holy spirit with the Father.

I'm Christian, and I don't believe in the Trinity. Oh, I believe in God and Christ and the Holy Ghost, but I don't believe they're the same person. It doesn't make sense to me that they would be, and it's not in the Bible. I think those who claim we have to believe in this to be Christian have simply been taught this doctrine so often that they mistakenly assume everyone believes it and it should be obvious. In reality, anyone who believes in Christ is a Christian.

answer: nope. they are not burning in hell. hell is cold.
check out the temp on weather dot com. use the zip code
48169.
that is the zip code for hell. only canada is colder than hell
right now.
the triadic god was obviously a demon inspired dogma used to replace our father's name [ Mat 6:9 hallowed be thy NAME, not thy title ].
the son mentions he worships the father. the son mentions he is at the right hand of the father. the son mentions after his resurrection that he is going to his father and his god.
he is called an apostle of god, and a mediator between man and god, in fact, the ONLY one.
it will be a battle between the gods of satan and the only god of the bible soon. they will suffer the same fate as the ba'al worshipers did when they challenged Jehovah of the bible.
OH. there is no word 'godhead' in the bible. it is a mistranslation of the word ' θεοτης ' theotEs. plug it into a translator and you get something akin to 'divine nature' or god's nature, godliness, deity.

C: 'Then God said, ‘Let us make humankind* in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth,* and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.’ Genesis 1.26
I don't see where there is a trinity in that.

If you study what the apostles wrote than you would come to that conclusion too. They didn't just pull the trinity out of their butts, they studied the scripture and what the apostle were saying. Your right in saying that there is nothing that specifically says trinity in the bible. But there are many descriptions of christ in the bible, and many of those descriptions point towards christ being God.
So Johh 3:16 says For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son and that whosoever believes in him shall not parish but have eternal life. Now believing in a person means not only believing that he exists but believing in his being and character. And believing in christ also comes with many other beliefs. Believe and you will be saved is what is written in the bible, but remember that believing is a very vague thing to say, which is why there are many different writings about salvation in the bible.
for point of reference I study the bible, and am a Christ follower
Source(s): The trinity was a very debated topic when they wanted to make it a doctrine. But it is believed that the idea of the trinity goes back to the apostles. It is also apparent in their writings.
