My braces are hurting the inside of my cheek...?

I just got them on Tuesday and the radiating pain is gone and I can eat just fine but this wire is tearing up the inside of my mouth. How do I make it stop?

Ive had my braces for 3 months, My dentist or whatevs. didn't give me wax they sell it in drug stores. Tho the waxed didn't really help for me. After 2 months or so you won't even notice it. Just takes some getting use to. Don't worry its all worth it having those nice straight teeth!

This stuff called dental wax. You can get it from your local drug store (by the dental floss and toothpaste) or ask your ortho. next time you go there. You just put some on the poky wires and it will stop.

The orthodontist should have given you some wax to put on the pokey parts. You can get it at any drug store near the toothpaste section.

Yeppers - wax. If it is due to excess wire at the end of your teeth, the ortho can cut that down for you.
