What would you rather listen to than listen to the Beatles?
I'd rather listen to nails on a chalkboard, people snoring, static, or a police siren than listen to the most overrated band ever "The Beatles."
The Beatles music is so boring and doesn't even make sense most of the time.
e.x. "Come Together"
Here come old flattop he come grooving up slowly
He got joo-joo eyeball he one holy roller
He got hair down to his knee
Got to be a joker he just do what he please
^ What does that even mean? That doesn't make sense at all. Screw the Beatles.
I don't care about their impact to music. It doesn't make their music good or make them great. Is the first movie ever made the best ever because it was one of the first and inspired other movies?

If a band is very talented and very lucky, they can have enough influence to change the direction of music. Led Zeppelin did it by introducing heavy metal. Nirvana did it by bringing in grunge.
The Beatles actually changed the direction of music twice. First when they became popular with their own style of hard driving pop, and then with the Sgt Pepper album where they introduced more complex music in the format of a concept album.
There is no other individual or band that has had as much influence on the direction of popular music as The Beatles.

Naive people think the Beatles were over rated.
You really have no idea what an impact they had on music.
John Lennon was one of the greatest rock and rollers ever.
Many Beatles songs were written to have many meanings.
I think Come Together may have been about a guy who sees a friend of his who's messed up and he want things to work out.
Just because you don't understand the lyrics doesn't mean they don't make sense.
