If the pilot of flight 1549 was actually an instrument of God performing a miracle, is he really a hero?

... or just a tool?

Update:

Even if the pilot is a Christian, I think he deserves all of the acclamations for his piloting skills. Attributing even some of his success to divine intervention robs him of his due respect.

    I feel sorry for the man. He saves many lives by his skill and ability and god will get all of the credit because we have a stupid xian dominated media.

    I don't think anyone is trying to take anything away from the pilot for he is truly a hero and it was a miracle that all got out alive. God did have a hand in that too though and many feel as though their prayers were answered. The pilot should definitely be praised and thanked too.

    Techno, for all you know, the pilot is a christian. Unless, of course, it's states somewhere that he isn't.
