applying for college and need help?

I'm a high school senior who just finished applying to college (8 of them), so I have a good amount of experience. You don't need to have made any decisions yet, and you are definitely NOT behind. In fact, the fact that you have interest in a certain school already sets you way ahead of most people.

You should not and most likely cannot apply now, because the applications for the year you will begin (assuming you will go straight after high school) will probably not be available until late spring or summer. Also, you will miss out on the ability to update your application with any work/awards/experiences you may have between now and Jan. 1, 2010 (which is when your application is probably due)

You apply the fall before. So my daughter who is a senior applied for college to start fall of 2009. You won't be able to apply till the earliest summer before your senior year. Most college deadlines are Jan. 1st for the following fall.

To buy Kaplans Newsweek How To Get Into College 2009. It is a magazine, even my grocery store had it. Read through it to help you on you way.

If you can visit some colleges you should be doing that now.

well you should apply now but apply to start in like 2-3 years to give you time to graduate and get some money together
