    Inkheart is a 2008 fantasy film, directed by Iain Softley. It is based on the 2003 German novel of the same name by Cornelia Funke.

    I'm going to assume that it is considering that most of the commercials for it say something about 'based on the book inkheart'

    Yes it is, but I read the book and I want to see the movie! Which one do you think will be better? Probably the book, but I saw good commercails for the movie.
