Garden of Eden vs. Heaven?

If man was satisfied with paradise God created here on Earth what makes people believe man will be satisfied with paradise in Heaven?

Update:

Correction...If man wasn't satisfied with paradise God created here on Earth what makes people believe man will be satisfied with paradise in Heaven?

Update 2:

I'm confused wasn't Satan an angel in Heaven? He didn't seem satisfied there either.

Within Judaism we believe in "Olam Haba", literally "World to come".

    Not literally in "Heaven".

I guess to explain it in simplest terms, it's Paradise here on earth, but with an elevation so high, that it becomes spiritual.

First of all, you incorrectly assume that Heaven is the final place man will be for eternity. Actually, Heaven is where God is and God says that He will dwell among men on the earth at the end of the Age.

In the Garden of Eden, satisfaction had nothing to do with Adam and Eve's fall into sin. It was done because of disobedience to God's instructions. They ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and as a result their eyes were opened to temptation forevermore.

Satan was not dissatisfied with Heaven, he wanted to be God. He was jealous. He never had any intention of leaving Heaven.

When this Age ends God will descend from Heaven with all the angels and the New Jerusalem will descend also and man will live in harmony and in perfection with God for all eternity on the new earth.

Try reading the Book of Revelation about the new earth and eternity and reread or read for the first time the Book of Genesis.

Wow, great question. Well, the division between Heaven and Eden is the possibly of sin. Eden was a perfect place, indeed, and sinless, but sin was still possible. This's because the spiritual realm dwelled there as it does all over Earth today, Satan's kingdom was established and humans were thereby liable to be negatively influenced by ethereal entities. But in heaven, it is a total and absolute spiritual realm with no division between "human and spirit", and no evil spirits, thus, sin isn't an option, we can abide in peace.

Actually, heaven in eternity will be on a recreated earth, which, I believe, will be much like the original earth before man sinned. It will be a physical existence. The one central fact that will make heaven perfectly satisfying is the very presence of God himself. God is, in fact, the only thing, the only one, that can satisfy the human soul. His sheer beauty and holiness make him irresistable to people whose eyes have been opened to see his beauty. Most people are spiritually blind, and look for satisfaction in things other than God, whether this be in physical pleasures, material things, human relationships, or false religion. Heaven will be populated by people God has allowed to appreciate himself, and it is simply he being there that will make them satisfied with heaven.

Satan was blinded by his own pride. He essentially wanted to be God. But that rebellion, like Adam's rebellion, was part of God's plan. In eternity, God will not allow people in heaven to be blinded by any distraction, or to want to be.

Do you mean not satisfied? I'm going to assume so.

I have to say, they were satisfied until satan came along and told them they were missing out on something, THEN they were no longer satisfied. We're not going to be the same when we get to Heaven, and plus, we know what it's like to be fallen, Adam didn't.

Heaven is temptationless. Free of sin and abounding in virtue and goodness. Man, through his actions, corrupted and brought evil into the garden, or allowed evil to permeate in the garden. Heaven is without such.

Hmm. You've got me thinking (and this doesn't entirely stick to your question, however...) everyone can't be satisfied in heaven. For example, one person may have the idea that heaven would be to share a bed with Brad Pitt but Brad would probably not agree, it could be hell for him. (he is a poor example, I mean seriously who would want to share a bed with him?). My point is, you can't make everybody happy, so what exactly is heaven? (if it is real) And how on earth does it work? (though strictly speaking, it is not on Earth).

The reason why this story was invented was to make women look bad.

Why did they want to make Eve (A woman) look evil?

Because men had to find a way to control female sexuality so they know that their children were THEIR children and that the woman was not sleeping around and having another mans baby.

    Thank you

In Heaven, we will not have human bodies and so will not have the corruption of sin that being human causes. It was sin that caused Adam and Eve to be removed from the Garden of Eden.

In heaven there will be no temptation because the devil will be vanquished. In the garden of eden they were content until the devil put evil thoughts into their minds.
