How did Exner refute the criticisms of the Rorschach?

I don't have my textbooks anymore and can't find the answer of this. There were Rorschach criticisms refuted by Exner, but I don't remember what he said exactly.

Before Exner, people interpretted the Rorschach in a very inconsistent manner. They had different interpretations for what different responses meant and it was possible to give the same Rorschach prototcol to 3 psychologists and have 3 different interpretations. People started to see the test as useless because it had nothing to support it.

Basically, Exner tried to increase the reliability and validity of the test by adding standards for administration, scoring, and interpretation, doing research, and providing norms to improve the accuracy and generalizability of the results.
