As Marie explained, Cavendish National Park focuses on family attractions, although there are also lots of couples and singles facilities in the area as well. At www.peiplay.com you can browse the entire provincial Tourism Visitors Guide (accommodation, attractions, events, shopping, food and beverage, package travel, transportation).
There is even a naturist resort nearby!
There is another chunk known as an "adjunct" to the Cavendish National Park. It is located further east, along the north shore (top shore if you're looking at a map), on a peninsula protecting St. Peters Bay. It is the Greenwich site, home to fabulous sand dunes, with archaeological, historical and ecological features.
The Island is small enough (roughly 150 miles wide and four to 40 miles across), that you can "do" the entire Island from one central location, such as Charlottetown (about twenty minutes from Cavendish), or two locations (Summerside and Montague, to the left and right of Cavendish).
Because Cavendish is so popular, it offers accommodation of all kinds (B&Bs, campgrounds, motels, cottages, resorts, etc) and levels (Canada Select 1-5).
Hope that helps. Please write again if you have other questions.
