I believe so but if you can't wait till it comes put just buy an iPhone from apple or best buy even eBay! Then jailbreak it and unlock it. It's a very easy process all you need is a computer. Go to quickpwn.com or just get on YouTube and ask how to jailbreak and unlock an iPhone then lots of videos will come up showing you step by step how to do it! Make sure you unlock it then you can stick your sim card from your tmobile phone in the iPhone and it will work! Good luck. The iPhone is an awsome phone when you first get it but it's even better when you get jailbroken so much more stuff you can do with it

I heard the same thing, But i just got an iphone 3G im with T-Mobile and I love it all you need to do is Buy an Iphone 2G or 3G which ever one you want and have it unlocked with the software either by googling it or you can go to craigslist and buy an unlocked iphone already done by someone. i got mine for 400 and it works great i reccomend craigslist and meeting up with someone in your area to check it out
