Windows Vista, Do you Like it or Not?
Hello fellow Windows Users. I am going to do a clean install of Vista Home Premium 64 Bit after upgrading some hardware. I would like to know several things. And yes, I am a LONG TIME XP user and will probably set up a dual boot system with both on my computer. It's OK if you hate Vista, but what I would like to really hear, is from people already using Vista who have been through a CLEAN INSTALL of the Home Premium 64 bit version. This means, you had to have started with a wiped hard disk or a brand new hard disk. Please help me to get through the install by sharing your experience, problems, with doing it. Please, I am not installing the 32 bit version, so I don't need feedback on those problems or versions - just the 64 bit versions.
1). What were your clean install problem(s) and how did you solve them?
2). What forums on the internet or sites on the internet, do you recommend that have good solutions to Vista O/S problems. Please share your links with me, thanks.
3). What were your software or hardware incompatibility issues and how did you solve them?
4). What are the main things I should be concerned with immediately after installing? What are your fixes or ways of doing things?
In searching the internet, I found a hilarious youtube of a guy who is really angry with Vista - it is so hilarious, I rolled over on the floor and laughed my guts out, and I thought I would share this with all of you -
You just gotta see this poor guy - I am hoping that my experience will be just a bit better than this...

I like Vista but Windows XP has always been easier to use. But Vista does have more features than XP.
If you need any help with Vista on the Internet then try these sites:

Any time you have a problem with your Vista you just have to press and hold the power button and wait till it shuts down. Then turn it back on. And it asks if you want to launch the Windows Startup Repair. Then you have to press enter. It will ask you if you want to you use you last restore point. (It will work even if you never made a restore point). It should then work perfectly like nothing ever happened.
If you want to see if something is compatible with Vista then go to this website: http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/
The only problems that I had with Vista was the control panel not working. But you can easily fix it with Windows Startup Repair.

I absolutely LOVE Vista. I think it's the best OS currently available.
1) Had no installation problems at all. It even picked up my RAID set up right away. It was cake.
2) I don't have any Vista problems, so no need to "solve" any problems.
3) Knights of the Old Republic 2 doesn't work immediately on Vista, but there's an unofficial patch you can download that fixes the problem. That's honestly the only incompatibility I've ever had with Vista.
4) Umm... turn off UAC after installing Vista. It's annoying for experienced users.
