During the inauguration ceremony, will McCain be on the stage?

Is this a tradition or something spelled out in the Constitution. Seems a little cruel to the candidate that lost??Is this some political thing that demonstrates the peaceful transition of power?

No. However, Obama is honoring McCain at one of the Inaugurational Balls....for his service to our country.

Not sure about that, but remember the "roast that he and Obama went to and made the jokes. I am wondering if the older gentleman that was in the background, behind both of them will be on the stage. That guy was eating when McCain was telling his jokes and he ate with his mouth OPEN. He also didn't laugh and had the biggest ears of anyone I have seen so I think he was a plant to make you know who's ears look smaller. When Barack came on he stopped eating with his mouth OPEN and then smiled at his jokes, whereas he didn't like John's. He may be up there, but go and look at the roast and the old fellow sitting in the background. have a nice 2009.

Who said McCain would be there? LOL! I heard most of the republicans were getting out of town for a few days. Might be a good idea. It is a party, after all.

Ummmm McCain lost. It's a big celebration for the other guy. I sincerely doubt if he'll be anywhere near the inauguration.

I haven't heard anything about him in a while. I'm sure he'll be far away.

Who really cares. He may be on as a US Senator...but his day has past.
