Opinion time:
Massive kudos for putting Faith No More in the top 10.
I personally feel Pearl Jam are ranked way too high, but there are legions of R&P people who disagree with me, so whatever.
Would have been nice to see a nod to L7...
Other notes:
Bill Taco: I agree Husker Du are amazing, but he said "of the 90s" and they broke up in 1987...
Meeds, Kristy, Pull Your Punches: I always get in trouble when I talk about REM, but once again, "of the 90s"... sure, their first two 90s albums are among their classics, but by 1994 they were releasing stuff like "Monster" which is quite frankly terrible, in my opinion. If they're getting what credit they're due, I'd focus more on the 80s for them...
EDIT: Nevermind, Bill, I missed Husker Du on the original list when I read it. Not your oversight, it's Jim's. So, yeah: Husker Du, love them, but not a 90s band.

Opeth
Therion
The Four Horsemen
Megadeth
Faith No More
Alice In Chains
Soundgarden
NIN
The Jayhawks
Live
The Stone Temple Pilots
Mother Love Bone
Nightwish
Stratovarius
Iced Earth
The Smashing Pumpkins
The Red Hot Chili Peppers
Helloween

Dream Theater
Tool
The Screaming Trees

Those are the Top 25 Bands of the 90's if You ask me. Your list lacks \mm/
I wouldn't give Pearl Jam the time of day. Eddie Vedder flat out sucks.

Not a bad list, I don't agree with everything and it's place, but it's your list so I won't nitpick, except....
Why is Husker Du on that list? I don't think they even put an album out in the 90's.

It's just typical that Nirvana are always at number 1 when it comes to these 90's polls
I think Pearl Jam or Oasis should be at number 1 in that list

That's a good list. I like almost all of the bands on there. I don't think Green Day should be on there though. I hate Green Day

No... An alternative list that makes no mention of REM holds no value to me.
firesign- Their first two 90's albums are still in the 90's... Leaving one of the greatest alternative bands of all time... Probably the FIRST real alternative band off of a list where they certainly qualify just kind of seems amateur to me.

Would have liked to see Smashing Pumpkins higher and Nirvana lower, but its your list and its pretty good.

I agree with most of it, except Alice in chains should be higher than Pearl jam. But it's personal preference...

Great list i'd just add The Tragically Hip somewhere
